Double Victory at the NEO2024 Innovation Award

Rement wins NEO award 2024

We are delighted to have received both the jury prize and the audience award at the NEO2024 Innovation Awards. This confirms that we are solving a problem that is considered highly relevant not only by experts but also by 200 guests from business, science, and politics.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to the jury, all guests, presenter and Secretary General of the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU) Alexander Bode, Mayor Frank Mentrup, and the organizers from the Karlsruhe Technology Region and SWR. We are also delighted by the supportive words of Professor Thomas Hirth, Vice President of KIT: “Closing material cycles in industry is one of the most challenging tasks on the path to climate neutrality in Germany. Our founding team at Rement impressively demonstrates how this can be achieved. The innovative technology is an important step towards a more sustainable circular economy, and I am truly pleased that the team has been awarded the NEO.”

The NEO2024 Innovation Prize, endowed with €20,000, was open to entries from companies throughout Germany and across the border in Alsace. This year, the prize specifically sought forward-looking solutions in the field of circular economy. The jury reviewed over 50 applications. Alongside us, Concular, EDENenergy, Gerhard Land Recycling, and the "NECOC" project from KIT (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology) were nominated – all fantastic projects that demonstrate how successful sustainable solutions can emerge in startups, research institutions, and established companies. This recognition motivates us even more to pursue our vision. The prize money will also be invaluable for our young company.
